What are the advantages of using a pole cleaning system?
Many new and renovated older buildings have had to make provision for alternative methods of access for window cleaning
purposes. The water-fed pole system eliminates the need for this. The system enables previously restricted or difficult
access areas to be cleaned efficiently and safely.
What is the water-fed pole system?
The system comprises of 1000/650 litre baffled tanks and containment cage, a five stage water purifacation unit and a 12 volt pump is attached. Also attached are hose reels enabling a working
radius of approx. 100 metres from the unit.
How does the system work?
Upon reaching the agreed working area, the operatives will position the vehicle in a location, giving a good
unrestricted access to the building. If access is restricted, prior arrangements will be made to allow vehicle access
within a 100 metre radius of the unit. Note: A mains water supply may be required to 'top up' the water purification
system only inside the vehicle; this helps to maximise the available working time. This will only be done with prior
agreement. Operatives will erect the lightweight glass fibre, carbon fibre and aluminium telescopic poles to the required
working length from ground level. The poles are then connected to the purification system via flexible hoses and hoselock
fittings mounted on the vehicle. With this method, operatives can clean a whole elevation in a single movement.
